Yes, you can bring luggage, but please let us know in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.

You are welcome to bring a packed lunch, but it’s not necessary. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants along the way offering a variety of meal options. Bringing a small snack is always a good idea.

Yes, you can reschedule your booking up to 7 days before the tour date, subject to availability. A €50 administration fee will apply to any changes. If the request is made within 7 days of the tour, rescheduling may not be possible. We recommend contacting us as early as possible to make any adjustments. Yes, you can cancel your booking up to 7 days before the tour date, with only a €50 administration fee applied. If the cancellation request is made within 7 days of the tour, no refund will be issued. We encourage you to let us know as soon as possible if your plans change. Is Diamond Hill difficult?

The trails range in difficulty, with medium-level hikes that can be challenging, especially in wet conditions. Be prepared for variable weather

The hike typically takes between 2 to 3 hours, depending on the chosen route and your pace.

You’ll have about 3 hours of free time to enjoy the hike up Diamond Hill at Connemara National Park.

No, admission to Connemara National Park is completely free of charge. Visitors can enjoy access to the park’s stunning landscapes, walking trails, and the visitor centre without any entry fee. Parking at the National Park is also free, making it an easily accessible destination whether you’re traveling by private or public transport. The visitor centre provides useful information about the park’s wildlife, history, and hiking routes, ensuring you make the most of your visit.

Make sure to keep track of time, but if you’re not back within 3 hours, the driver will wait for you.

There are three routes: short, medium, and long (to the peak of Diamond Hill). You can reach the peak and return within 3 hours if you’re moving at a good pace with minimal stops. Be mindful of your ability and ensure you have enough time for a rest.

No, the hike is self-guided. There are clear, marked trails and a visitor center with helpful information.

Is Kylemore Abbey worth visiting?

Absolutely! Kylemore Abbey is one of Ireland’s most beautiful and historic sites, featuring stunning architecture, a picturesque lake, and beautifully restored gardens.

We stop at Kylemore Abbey for approximately 2 hours. If you wish to stay longer, we can accommodate your request, but please note that this will shorten the time spent at other stops on the tour.

No, the admission fee for Kylemore Abbey is not included in the tour price.

Why are the Cliffs of Moher so famous?

The Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland’s most iconic natural landmarks, stretching 14 km along the Atlantic coast and rising 214 meters (702 feet) at their highest point. They offer breathtaking views, have been featured in movies like Harry Potter and The Princess Bride, and are home to diverse wildlife, including thousands of seabirds.

For a more peaceful experience, it’s best to visit early in the morning (before 11 AM) or later in the evening (after 4 PM). Sunrise and sunset visits are especially stunning, offering beautiful light and fewer crowds.

We recommend spending about 2 hours at the Cliffs. However, our tour is flexible, and you can explore at your own pace.

We stop for lunch in the charming village of Doolin, known for its traditional Irish food. The break is approximately 1 hour. You can choose from recommended restaurants such as:

  • Gus O’Connor’s Pub (Traditional Irish dishes)
  • Fitzpatrick’s Bar
  • Or another restaurant of your choice on the way back to Galway.

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park FAQs

Is it worth visiting Bunratty Castle and Folk Park ?

Yes, Bunratty Castle is one of Ireland’s most well-preserved medieval castles, offering a glimpse into the country’s rich history. The Folk Park adds to the experience, showcasing a 19th-century Irish village with traditional cottages, shops, and costumed characters.

Bunratty Castle is famous for its 15th-century architecturewell-preserved medieval interiors, and Bunratty Folk Park, which recreates Irish rural life from the 19th century. It is also known for its medieval banquets and lively storytelling.

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park will open 7 days per week – 9.30am to 5.30pm
Please note last admission to Bunratty Castle is strictly 4pm.

Bunratty Castle Medieval Banquets operate nightly at 5.30pm and 8.30pm subject to availability.

We recommend spending around 2 hours exploring the castle and Folk Park at a comfortable pace.

You have the option to enjoy lunch at:

Onsite, you’ll find Mr. O’Regan’s Café in the admissions building, along with the seasonal Bunratty Tea Rooms and Mac’s Pub within the park, all offering a variety of hot and cold snacks, sweet treats, and beverages.

Lunch is not included in the tour price and takes approximately 1 hour.

Birr Castle Demesne and Clonmacnoise FAQs

Is Birr Castle worth visiting?

Yes, Birr Castle is well worth a visit! It is famous for its beautiful gardens, historic science exhibitions, and the Great Telescope, which was once the largest in the world. The castle grounds also feature rivers, waterfalls, and rare plants.

You can explore the Birr Castle Demesne, including its gardens, science centre, and telescope. However, the castle itself is a private residence and is not open to the public.

Birr Castle Demesne is open daily from 09:00 – 17:00.

The recommended visit duration is approximately 2 hours.

Lunch at Sean’s Bar, one of Ireland’s oldest pubs, is approximately 1 hour. However, we are flexible—relax and enjoy your meal.

What is Clonmacnoise famous for?

Clonmacnoise is one of Ireland’s most important early Christian sites. It is famous for its ancient round towers, high crosses, and monastery ruins, which date back to the 6th century. It was a major religious and learning centre in medieval Ireland.

Clonmacnoise was founded by St. Ciarán in the 6th century and became a major monastic settlement. Over the centuries, it was attacked by Vikings, Normans, and Irish clans, yet it remained a key religious and cultural centre.

Clonmacnoise is open all year, except for December 24th, 25th, and 26th.
